Sounds Like ATL is a new monthly concert series from WABE, Atlanta’s NPR station. Built around a desire to amplify Atlanta’s diverse and world-renowned musical community, each concert will feature a fresh lineup and a variety of genres. Bands and performers are chosen by WABE’s staff and music-industry influencers. The first edition of the WABE Sounds Like ATL series commemorates Black History Month and will be hosted by Speech of legendary hip hop group Arrested Development. The lineup features contemporary R&B singer-songwriter Algebra Blessett, world music band leader Mausiki Scales, and soul and jazz vocalist Cleveland P. Jones.
